Dr. Sarah Arafat, proud owner of Tiny Dental Company, is on a mission to make every kid's dental visit fun, positive, and something they'll actually look forward to! Dr. Arafat combines her love of learning and her passion for helping little ones thrive into every aspect of her practice.

She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and completed her Pediatric Dental residency at the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston. But she didn’t stop there—she also holds two master’s degrees: a Master of Public Health with a Dental Emphasis and a Master of Science in Dentistry, where her research explored how virtual reality can help kids manage pain and anxiety.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Call us as soon as possible so our team can understand what is happening and determine how quickly we can see your child. A brief description of the pain, injury, or swelling helps us understand the urgency and explain the next step.

  • Contact us immediately. If it is a permanent tooth, hold it by the crown, rinse gently if dirty, and keep it in milk while seeking care. Do not reinsert a baby tooth. Acting quickly may improve the chance of saving a permanent tooth. For serious injury or trouble breathing, seek emergency medical care.

  • Yes, your child should still have the tooth checked. Pain can fade while decay, infection, or damage remains. Arrange an evaluation, especially if the pain was severe or persistent, or came with swelling or other symptoms. We can assess the tooth and explain what care may be needed.

  • A cool compress on the outside of your child's cheek and gentle rinsing with warm salt water may ease symptoms temporarily. Home care cannot replace an evaluation. Seek immediate medical attention for difficulty breathing or swallowing, or rapidly worsening facial swelling. Contact us if symptoms worsen or you have concerns while waiting.

  • The care your child needs depends on what we find during the evaluation. Once our team understands the symptoms and examines the tooth, we can explain the recommended next steps and provide more specific information for your child's situation.
